Merry Christmas

I have to admit this Christmas was my favorite!! Having Garner changes everything and definitely makes life more fun. Garner was spoiled big time to only be 3 months old.

Below is Garner Christmas eve with her GiGi and Daddy Ken. Can you tell she is loved?

Garner and her Mimi on Christmas Eve. Aaron and I had dinner at our house and opened gifts with his side of the family.

Garner did not know what to think of all the gifts. She just stared amazed by all the colors.

Mimi and Gigi with Garner and Ellie. I LOVE my Ellie bug...aka "girlie" she is the sweetest and not to mention most photogenic fur baby ever. Love that face. ha! As you can see the grands could not leave her out of the pictures.

One of my favorite parts of December is "mail delivery time". Everyday I would run to the mailbox and Aaron would ask "are you expecting a package"? No, but I am expecting CARDS. haha. I love Christmas cards!! I even box them up each year and when I decorate the next year I sometimes will look at the cards Ive collected. Oh the simple things in life.

Garner met her sweet great Aunt Lou this Christmas. Lou loves babies and I am happy she was able to meet and love on our sweet baby.

Aaron cooking us a delicious meal. Have I mentioned that my husband is an amazing cook?

I waited months for this gift. Our moms bought and framed this picture of Garner when she was 5 days old. Love it! I stare at the picture realizing my baby is growing so fast.

After dinner it was time for Christmas Pjs so we could go to bed. Santa only comes when you are sleeping.

Garners sweet cousin Sloane reading her a bedtime story. I love watching these two together. Sloane was the baby until Garner came along and now she seems like such a big girl. She loves "her" baby Garner.

These are only SOME of the gifts Garner opened Christmas eve. She honestly did not know what to think of all her toys.

Santa came....guess Garner was a good girl.

I love this picture because if you notice her uncle Cody is already playing baby dolls. haha. This is my brother and even though he is ALL boy we are 13 months apart in age and I can assure you he knows how to play dolls. Poor guy had to play with me as a child.

Lets not leave Ellie out. Of course she got new toys too. Told you she is precious.

Christmas night we went to my moms house (Mimi) to celebrate more. Garner and Mimi by the big tree!! Would you believe my little princess got more gifts....I came home and started a play closet we had so many toys. We always celebrated at my grandmothers house with my dad who really spoiled Garner!

I know this Christmas was only the beginning of many to come. I hear it only gets more fun the older kids get. This year was a blast so I am excited to see how much fun Garner has next year.

Baby G THREE Months

I am a little behind on posting Garners 3 month pics but I have a good excuse....THE HOLIDAYS! Now that things are settling down I plan to catch up my blog. Garner turned 3 months on December 18. I am not sure exactly how much she weighs because we did not see the doctor this month. I am estimating around 13 lbs. I know it sounds crazy to some but we believe you are teething. YES my baby is already teething. Between the drool and love for chewing on your hands I'm pretty convinced. Not to mention your momma (me) had a tooth at 3 months. You still sleep through the night and love to be on the go.

Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Well we officially broke out the Christmas outfits a little before the first of December but a few days will not matter. We have so many cute little outfits that I could not wait and I want to be sure Miss Garner gets to wear each. I am so excited for December! This is always my favorite time of year. I finally finished decorating the house and will post pics soon. I addressed all of our Christmas cards this morning and that feels great to be ahead with it only being Dec 2nd. Now I just need postage and let me tell y'all....my husband had me laughing so hard this morning. I told him to bring stamps home so I could mail out the cards. He told me postage is too expensive and we should just deliver each card. Not the thoughtful delivery (which I wouldn't do either) of handing it to you but drive and place each in mailboxes. Once I laughed he starts telling me well this is on the way to work, the golf course, Tues lunch with the guys...etc. Really?!?! He even went as far as to make a MS stack that his friend could deliver for us. haha! Ok so I know he is kidding but the sad part is if I allowed it I'm 100% sure he would do it. Never a dull moment!

Garner, you are starting to tolerate tummy time a little more every time. Im so proud of you. You get so mad when I place you on your tummy to play.

You are starting to pay more attention to your toys. Grandad bought you this dog and you seems to really like playing with him...as long as playtime does not interfere with football. You crack us up how you love football. We decided its all the movement but you sure do get excited and it is the only thing that keeps you content. I will not lie....we let you watch it this afternoon so we could clean and organize the house. Our babysitter - football.

Friday night you went to your first Christmas parade. You were so good. There were 80 floats and we were there for about 2 hours so you eventually fell asleep. I was afraid you may get scared because it was loud and there were a lot of people but you seemed to enjoy it all when you were awake. It was cold but you didn't mind.

Our friends all ready to go see the parade. Haven and Grayson look excited but not Garner.

The Whittens

Haven was sweet enough to let you wear her hat. You passed out and slept ALL night. 9pm until 7am!!! Thank you!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and has a great week!!

Playing catch up and a bunch of FIRSTS

I should warn you now....this post is a TON of pictures. You have been warned in case you want to skip this post. :) I have tried my hardest to capture most of Garners "firsts" (guess I'm that mom) so I want to be sure and include these on the blog.

Mommy and mimi ready for your very first baby shower. You were showered with so much LOVE!! I tell people all the time I feel so blessed because we literally received everything we asked for off our registry except for some minor things that I just put on but didn't HAVE to have.

Pics from shower 2. My girlfriends threw Aaron and I a couples baby shower.

Your very first grin we saw and captured. Aunt Jamie shot this picture for us. Such a sweet face.

First sponge bath....this was the same day you came home from the hospital. I wanted a fresh clean baby to snuggle with so we cleaned you up and you screamed. I know it was cold.

My favorite part of the bath was sweet Ellie. She was so concerned about you. She watched the entire time. She is always concerned....especially when we leave the house. She gets so upset and when we come home you are the first thing she checks on.

This is classic! Daddys first poopy diaper! NO he did not finish. He stepped back and said "this is all you" guess he has some learning to do. hehe

Your first outside walk at 3 days old. Mommy was ready for fresh air! We didn't make it far but you enjoyed it...slept!

Your first bottle. Sorry baby nursing just didn't work of us but you LOVE your bottle. You were a happy girl once your tummy was full.

Our first successful cooked dinner for daddy. I had to figure out a way to keep you close and entertained.

Your first lunch date! We met Aunt Heather, Uncle Nick and Haven for lunch and then we headed to the farmers market for pumpkins. Haven loves you so much.

Your sweet birth announcement. (front and back)

Your first big laugh for me!! I love that face. When you grin and laugh your entire face lights up.

First time in the tub. You love bath time. We have since removed the sling and you sit in the tub kicking and splashing.

Our first hayride to pick out your very own pumpkin from a pumpkin patch.

Daddy was sure to pick you the BEST pumpkin he could find.

Your first trip to church. You did great. Slept and ate but I was a proud mommy. Not ready to send you to the nursery yet so you stayed with us.

Your first Presidential election. you were excited to go and vote.

First visit to the salon! I know this will be on of your favorite places growing up as it was and still is mine. Mimi is sure to spoil you rotten and keep you dolled up.

First Halloween! We went to Uncle Kyle and Susans. You slept but we still took you trick or treating with all the kiddos.

First time in your crib. Oh it lasted 20 mins but it was a good little nap and test to see if mommy could stand you in your room. You have not slept in it again but now that you are 2 months old I'm getting closer  to the transition.

First art project with mommy and Aunt Lin!! We had fun and you were so good considering we had your feet covered in paint.

First Thanksgiving. We spent it first with GiGi and Daddy Daddy's family for lunch. We had an early dinner at Mimi and Pops. You had a busy but fun day.

Your first Dr visit for shots. (2 months old) You were so happy before the shots so I was sad to see you pricked. To my surprise you did well. You screamed as they stuck you but afterwards I scooped you up with lots of love and you were good to go. We even went to lunch with Daddy.

First time to hold your bottle all by yourself. :) Little Miss Independent.

I look forward to many more firsts in your life. You are growing so quick and I hope to capture all the special moments. We love you baby doll!
